Camp Timok – Serbia

Europeans love camping! Camps have proven a very effective place for them to hear the Gospel and respond in a positive way. In early 2003, a group of Balkan Pastors and church planters purchased a property in the eastern Balkan region with the desire to develop a year-round camp for youth and families. The 18-acre site has a small building, an open field, a plum orchard, and is bordered by the cool refreshing Timok River. Outdoor camps are already being held on site, but assistance is needed to bring the property up to standard.  In a country with less than 0.2% claiming to be active followers of Jesus Christ, the vision is to make this camp available to all believers in the Balkan region as a tool for evangelism and discipleship. Camp Timok is one-of-a-kind, being the only full-time camp available for Christians to use year-round.

Project Plan

Camp Timok is run completely by volunteers and needs help to complete the rennovations. The projects for this coming year include a sports field, playground, and rennovating an old house on-site to use for visitors.
